PPG D8131 Rapid Performance Clearcoat
D8131 UHS Clearcoat has been developed using the latest PPG clearcoat technology to enhance the innovative PPG paint system.
D8131 provides bodyshops with an easy to use clearcoat which combines the high speed drying, easy polish for all repairs. It comes with a smart and simple package with hardeners dedicated for standard & high temperature application.

APPLICATION
1 Visit application. 1 light/medium & 1 full coat. The first coat should be applied as a light closed coat. Second coat is applied as a full coat.

If only 1-2 panels, 1½-2 minutes flash off between coats.
THROUGH DRY AT 60°C*

The D8131 clearcoat, as crystal-clear as water, is designed for application over waterborne ENVIROBASE® High Performance and is used with a single specially developed hardener – D8254. Thanks to straightforward activation, this system shortens preparation time – only two components at a simple 2:1 mix ratio.
Application is much easier and faster thanks to excellent flow, durability and properties that make polishing easier. D8131 is not sensitive to spray technique or application method, giving painters greater flexibility.
With a pot life of up to 60 minutes and exceptional versatility, this clearcoat is suitable for all types of repair, from a single panel to „full respray“.
